Project Accountant
Job description
Rubik Built, LLC is in search of an experienced Project Accountant for General Contractor to join our Team. A Project Accountant is a financial specialist who is responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of a project. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing the accounts of various construction projects by overseeing supplier contracts, evaluating production costs, and verifying invoice statements. To ensure success as a general contractor project accountant, you should display excellent business acumen and the ability to minimize production costs through efficient accounting. Ultimately, a top-notch general contractor project accountant is an analytical and detail-oriented individual with a high level of financial accuracy. A Team Player that works well in group settings and takes pride in their individual work. A candidate that is a self-starter & motivated to always find ways to improve their own work efficiencies. One that communicates well and takes initiative in their daily dealings.
Responsibilities:

Handle all invoices from Suppliers and Subcontractors.

Track all project costs.

Track and manage all pre-liens, conditional, and unconditional releases.

Review all Applications for payment from Subcontractors (G702 & G703) and work with the Project Managers to get approval for billing.

Performing accounting duties throughout the project, such as preparing invoices, estimating cash flow, and signing off on purchase orders.

Be able to manage accounting for multiple multi-family developments.

Understand project’s budgets and provide information and reports to Project Managers.

Correspond with Subcontractors.

Prepare and send applications for payment to clients or lenders for big projects.

Review and manage change orders and vendor contracts.

Understand and apply the correct cost codes per invoices.

Be able to utilize Procore’s financial management module.

Analyzing all transactions and working unforeseen costs into the budget.

Keeping a record of all project finances for internal/external auditing and tax purposes.

Preparing cost analyses by interpreting projects' financial data and information.

Reporting any financial risks and budgetary discrepancies to management for review.

Developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $100,000
Qualifications/Requirements

Experience with Procore Software.

Experience with SAGE 100 Construction Software.

A minimum of 2 year's experience in general contractor project accounting.

Excellent knowledge of construction cost accounting and related financial procedures.

Familiarity with MS Office software, such as Excel, Word, Outlook.

Working knowledge of the construction industry.

Solid analytical and mathematical skills.

Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
